Guys, I'm ready for the New Year….and celebrating here getting my (5) Vosper 1942-variant models finished today. They're ready for the game board now! I did these in the Admiralty Light Scheme, and with most of the painting done on the hulls and decks before attaching any of the parts. This allowed for easier brush clearance w/o having to work around these parts protrusions.
There's a few crewmen added, which I stole from the "spare" parts bags of Warlord resin & metal models (I doubt I'll go back and retrofit more crewmen when those become available, now that I'm done). |

All Vallejo paints. For the G45 Grey the mix proportions recommended in the Warlord Vospers painting guide (70% Light Grey 70.990 to 30% Medium Grey 70.987 – simple 7 drops to 3). This produces a tan'ish grey mix, and I think it's a close match to paint chips for G45 I've seen online. For the B15 I used 70.964 Field Blue out of the bottle. After a light black washing, it mutes to a close rendering of the Admiralty Blue 15 color (which seems a bit brighter than my color, but not as "military" looking on a small model IMO). For the white camo, a Vallejo white (actually from their Game Color line – 72.002 – which seems a bit thicker than other Vallejo whites I've used). Oh yeah, a light dry-brush of a light blue I've used for painting ACW rebel trousers – it's not a model paint, but a similar color match for "popping" the detail spots on the torpedo tubes, and other deck objects would also do a nice trick. Btw, I paint for the tabletop viewpoint, and not for close up pictures, so over-staining, and dry-brushing is meant to do its duty when we're playing our games. |

I really like the way you have painted them. I will try and copy your example. I have just undercoated 15 ships/boats and the Sub so hope to start painting them ASAP. |

You guys are great, thank you! Fitz and myself have a planned play-test of Cruel Seas tomorrow, and I'll post some pics here if they turn out ok. |

Those look far better than my attempts at painting my Vospers! I'm sad to miss your demo this weekend, and can't wait for the next opportunity. |
