I am busy renovating a house and decided to do some portable gaming during lunchtime at work. I ended up playtesting some WW2 rules for playing 6mm on a 12×12 grid on a 24cmx24cm board. I was very interesting. It was also 4 months ago so have been a little slack getting this done. although the blog post has turned out to be a bit of an epic. It is really a chronicle on the journey to the idea of a portable lunch game to a reasonable draft of the rules. Along the way there are 4 brief battle reports that helped playtest the rules. I have another blog post coming that is the 5th and last game but is a decent battle report. Anyway, the very long blog post is here: link Here is a picture of what the 24cmx24 board looks like mid-game. Played outside in the park so the lighting is full of shadows!
