Black I tend to choose either Green, or the colour that contrasts the most with what other folks have already chosen. |

Dark colors. Light, bright colors invariably attract the attention and aggression of other players. So black, dark blue, green, dark red, grey, brown, tan, but never yellow, white, pink, or orange. Especially not orange, because I also refuse to play in UT colors. (Go Dores!). |

Green. But when a boardgame company uses colors to distinguish players, they should also use symbols, considering that males play boardgames more than females and have a higher rate of colorblindness. Conversely, a boardgame company should not use colors which can be confused with each other. Mayfair games used both blue and light blue in their version of Cosmic Encounter, causing in the wrong player to be attacked! |
