Hi
I'm wondering whether the Victrix Greek Heavy Cavalry would be suitable for Carthaginians with a few head swops? I've committed to a Classical army and I'm looking at Victrix figure options for Carthaginians as I like many of their models.

Thanks.

Sure. Greek equipment was common in the western med throughout the 1st and 2nd Punic Wars.

Yup, the Carthies are essentially a classical army with eastern heritage. And they esteemed the Greeks as the best warriors hiring in preference. And some evidence re equipping themselves. You may not even need to head swap that much as the carhties wore attic and pilos helmets. Also remembering that actual citizens in the armies were a minority.

I am also in collection phase for an early carthies army with chariots. My mix will be Aventine for foot and cav, Foundry Spanish, Numidian plus Assyrian chariots not crew, and Victrix for Gauls plus maybe some other bits.

Thanks for the help guys…quite new to the period and trying to accommodate a friend's interests whilst finding an army I will enjoy painting.

I read that the Victrix cavalry were quite large compared to other manufacturers, anyone know how their sizes compare? I know what their infantry is like and it scales quite well.
