You were asked… TMP link

64% said "no"

their loss I wish I had tried it sooner

64% got it wrong. I AM a VSF player. I thought I made it obvious. Pay better attention, guys.

Not that I'm sure why you are asking them if I'm a VSF player. You could have asked me.

Surprised it ran that high. But others regard Barsoom without Chadwick or Havelock as VSF, which would help.

It's a yes or no question. What did the other 11% answer?

For the record, I love VSF, just don't call it "Steam Punk" (cringe). And who cares what others play or don't play. It's your hobby, do what interests you and gives you enjoyment.

I honestly think that the Weird or What-If things are more interesting than the historicals.

Example: what would have happened if the British had Aphid/Locust-class gunboats (of Space 1889 fame) during the Pathan Revolt of 1897-98?

Armed with a 4" gun on the bow, 1pdr Hotchkiss Rotating Cannons port and starboard, and a Nordenfelt MG port and starboard.

It'd be tight, time-wise, but it's possible that the HRCs would be replaced with 1pdr Pom-poms and the Nordenfelts replaced with the Maxim Gun.

Explains the lack of Dystopian Wars interest here then :)

I think the rules had something to do with that.
