Love the game – had it from, was it Dragon Issue 28? Goes and checks. Yup ! PDF link So I can remember that from 39 years ago but I can't recall…….(feel free to fill in the gap yourselves!). |

Actually – what an issue that was. As well as Awful Green Things…. The politics of hell – landmark D&D article. Swords & Sixguns – boothill in D&D. Giants in the earth – heroes from fiction. Elves in Wargames. A preview of the DMG. And a level progression system for players & DMs! Truly – they don't make magazines like that any more!!! |

Then later published as a pocket game by Steve Jackson Games, and later as a boxed game… |

Played it once on a ballroom floor. Each crew was a person and 'extras' were the Awful Green Things. Nerf guns and balls were used for the weapons (and random effects!) |

Sounds very cool! |

You know, in a "geeky-nerdy-gamer" definition of cool. |

I'd have played though ! |

Awful Green Things From Outer Space is vastly, vastly under appreciated. Probably because it's fairly unbalanced. But that is a fairy shocking price. |

Played it a few times back in the mists of the previous century. I always had a good time. |

I love original game artwork. Out of my range, but I don't claim it's not proper. Doug |

I can see someone really wanting the original artwork – I'd love some of the original art from early D&D books. Bet that goes for even more now. |

Wish Tom Wham was receiving a share of this sale. But since it was "work for hire" back then, alas, probably not. I'd love to see SJG (who currently hold the rights for the game) do a full bore high-end version of the game, with plastic figurines, a sturdy high quality mounted board (no "valley" design, of course) and nice, hefty markers instead of thin, slick chits. (Hmmm…a kickstarter idea…) |

I'm in agreement on the kickstarter! Let's get a 3D version going now! |

I've wanted to sculpt some figures for it for ages. It fits with my doughy amateurish sculpting. |
