There have been a lot of polls where I wish I had that choice. Anyone else?

It rather depends upon the poll. In some cases, an "all of the above" would make the poll pointless. Sometimes you just have to gut it out and prioritize your answers; even a thin margin is a margin. Hey, it would have been great to say "all of the above" in this year's Heisman vote, too. But that's not the way it works. So a blanket "all of the above" response isn't a good idea to graft onto a poll. Instead, the originator should suggest it. Otherwise, if someone does feel that way, "other" with an explanation in the comments serves the purpose.

I agree with Parzival. There are a limited number of polls where such an option makes sense, since most of the polls are ordination polls (in the statistical sense; we will leave ordination in the theological sense for the Heisman). So, no for "best", "favourite", "top 5", etc.

I see no problem for inclusive selection polls. For example, I may play Napoleonics in all the listed scales or I may field all the listed species of beastman on my table. In such a poll, even where our current technical frame of "pick five" allows you to pick all the answers, "all of the above" provides insight beyond just clicking a vote for every category.

Can't all polls simply have one option
"Everyones a winner"
That would eliminate many arguments and annoyence with the poll options.

It would make more sense to separate "none of these/no opinion" as they are actually different.

There are some questions when "all of the above" "many of the above" would be good options.

"All of the above, except for 7, 12 and 18."
