why does ignore not always work? new member, Tried to use both ignore and stifle and only stifle works. I followed the directions [they aren't hard]. Are some posters "un-ignorable?" Guy might be staff, hard to tell. I was thinking maybe employees, editors can't be ignored? Thanks for guidance. |

If you ignore an editor, it licks you out. Same with Stifle. Ignore only works on the front page. If you surf TMP through the various boards, Ignore doesn't work.
Stifle will always block single post content. Does that help? |

"Ignore only works on the front page." I don't understand what this means. I do understand that you actually can't ignore people's posts on the message boards, which seems to defeat the purpose. Dude fills the boards with dross – annoying. I guess I'll have to settle for stifling. Rallynow – the stifle is working, at least for the moment. |

I believe Ignore keeps you from seeing topics started by…but not posts in other topics. Stifle keeps you from seeing posts in topics, but not the topics themselves. Ignore works fine and keeps topics on my front page from scrolling off faster than I can read them…. |

What I want is for the topics to go away too, otherwise it's kind of useless. |
