Today, we did a Seven Years War game at our club, and it was over quite quickly, ah, the joy of dice, eh?

And the Prussian steam roller rolls on!

I have to be sympathetic – have had more than one of those "bad dice" days

Bad dice?! We used to call in "Morked". Guy from our club, Larry Mork, playing some obscure age of sail game. He was approaching the enemy in his 94 gun ship of the line, his fleet's flagship. He fired once, and 4-5 reeeally bad die rolls later his ship of the line had a misfire, which started a fire, which spread to the magazine, which exploded sinking his flagship within minutes, demoralizing his entire fleet who promptly failed ALL morale rolls and retreated. Whole bloody thing took about 15 minutes, the entire game was over in one turn!!!That record still stands today, some 20 years later.
He IS a living legend. So if you have some really bad luck with the dice, you "Morked".
