….Siege Warfare 1812. Of possible interest? "Documentary about the Peninsular War exploring the warfare strategies used by Britain and France. The programme looks at the Siege of Ciudad Rodrigo in 1810 and the Siege of Badajoz in 1812 with input from experts and re-enactments." Main page link

These Battlefield History TV dvds contain some excellent Napoleonic era stuff – particularly Waterloo and the Peninsular War. As the series has developed, the presenters have become more assured and the graphics have improved. Lots of film shot on location, sensible use of re-enactors and good scripts. Highly recommended. |

Tango01 I have it and gave it a 4 star review on Amazon Uk. It is basically an overview and, although I would have preferred more detailed information in certain areas, it is still worth viewing, providing the disc works okay. Mine had a few minor problems involving the sound, which is why I only gave it four stars. |
