Wargames at Weldon

link

Last year, we hosted the first Wargames at Weldon Spring weekend.

February 16 and 17 will see a number of games being available. We have two rooms at the Weldon Spring Interpretive Center.

The event is totally free. Parking is available. There are several fast-food restaurants within easy driving distance.

We will be having a huge 15mm scale Hive and Flame game.

Doors will open at 10:00AM, and we will run until 8:00PM.

Did we mention it is free?

If you want to run a game at this event, please contact Terry Sofian at Tsofian@aol.com.

I'm in for running Limeys & Slimeys as we discussed at Command Con.

Excellent, and we have a Zulu game as well

We will actually be able to open the doors at 9:00 AM. So we will have the large Hive and the Flame game, and 4 tables in the smaller room in two slots each day. So our schedule allows for 8 games in addition to the large game that will run the entire event.

We have two other games already planned, so if anyone else wants to run a minis game let me know!

Only a month and a half until Wargames at Weldon 2. February 16th and 17th. We still have tables for folks wanting to run games. Remember this is FREE!

Will the shutdown have any affect on this, should it continue? I don't see it being resolved anytime soon.

From their website: "The Weldon Spring Site Interpretive Center and outdoor spaces are open for regular public use during the partial government shutdown."

The site is open and doesn't look like we will be hampered in any way. If this changes in any way I will post developments as soon as I know!

One of the games that'll be played at this event – the 1st Battle of Guebling, fought between the US 4th Armored Division (Task Force West), and the 11th Panzer Division on 14 November 1944 -

That looks great! How did you do the terrain?
