I had Mark around the other day to play Chain of Command with my 1912 Greek and Turkish platoons. It was an attack/defend game, with the Turks defending a road junction. We had a lot of fun and it was a great game, write up and pics on the blog link

That looked like a lot of fun! What a great period to game! I had no idea the Garabaldini were in the Balkan Wars, but just seeing that unit makes me want to play that play that conflict.

Did you play straight CoC, or the WW1 variant in one of the Specials, or did you adapt anything yourself?

Very nice!
Are those Tiger figures?

Thanks guys.

Yes they are all Tiger minis.

We are using our own adaptation of the rules, but based on the WW1 suggestions in one of the TFL specials.

Pressed enter too fast.

I meant to say that Garibaldi's son, Ricciotti Garibaldi, led volunteer units that fought in support of Greek independence in the Greco-Turkish War of 1897 and again in the First Balkan War of 1912–13. In 1912 the Italians were issued with Greek uniforms, but allowed to dye them red on honour of the redshirt tradition.

Great AAR. What in the world convinced you guys to game this war?!

Simple, I discovered Tiger Miniatures (actually when I was looking for Mounties!) and got a couple of packs of Greeks on an impulse. It just went on from there!
