Read the Larry Bond/Chris Carlson novel 'Lash-Up.' That should give you a better idea of what the shape and scope of a Space Force would look like. |

GI Jane was about a woman passing SERE school, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape. SERE is required for all Naval Aircrew (and I think all pilots in general), it's not exactly Special Operations. |

GI Jane was advertised as being SEAL/CRT training, but in the movie it was explicitly SERE. Though "sear" and "seal" do sound very similar, so I can see the confusion. |
