Our big vacation this year,to Belgium, happened to coincide with Crisis, the show put on by the Tin Soldiers of Antwerp. Being in town, I had to attend the show where I discovered Offensive Miniatures. They've been around for several years, but I hadn't seen any of their figures here in the U.S.of A. The display of their new "Late War Winter Germans" caught my eye, but I knew I would have to lug them around for the rest of the trip and my wife was looking over my shoulder as I browsed the showcase.
Once back home, I did an inventory on my existing 28 mm WW 2 Germans and realized that Offensive made figures that would fill the holes in my collection. Using their well illustrated website, I order what I needed and more and before I knew it they'd arrived.
The figures are terrific, beautifully cast and with plenty of character. They are so nice that I've actually based and primed half of them already and am taking a break before I get back to painting the first group.
They also have a range of Napoleonics and a "Near Future" range for urban unrest, etc. but I can't comment on those ranges as they are outside my interests.
If you need 28 mm figures for WW 2, I recommend checking out Offensive Miniatures.
Dave and Jacki were easy to deal with and went out of their way to make sure that I received the figures promptly.

Those are some lovely figures, thanks for the post.

I bought some Offensive Miniatures US Paras many years ago and they are indeed beautiful figures.

However, keep in mind that they are not in the "Heroic 28mm" Foundry style and as such do not mix well with minis in that category from Warlord, Crusader and Artizan Designs.

That's OK, I will put them in their own squads.

They are great figures. A touch smaller than many other figures, but once they are painted and based the difference is not so noticeable…

I've been avoiding looking at their site lately, the near future minis are ones I'd really like to add to my growing urban strife collection, especially the horse set and the snatch team.

Dennis,

Looking forward to chasing them up the Road to Bremen in our Chain of Command campaign.

They are beautiful scupts, the quality is stunning – the best 28mm figures I've seen. Makes me want to bin my Crusader/Artizan/Warlord blobs of metal!
