Fascinating boats, I first became aware of them when the wrecks were rediscovered back in 2004 or 05. Bought the big 1/350 scale model of one, and a 1/72 scale Seiran torpedo-bomber. Had the Japanese used their subcarriers to take out the Panama Canal, the war in the Pacific would have gone very differently. |

I believe the canal was their intended target. |
