…Almost 70 Countries. "There are nearly four times as many jihadist militants across the world today as there were on September 11, 2001, according to a new report, and foreign policy analysts say it's yet another sign the war on terror has been a colossal failure. "Despite the Islamic State's loss of territory in Iraq and Syria, an increasingly diffuse Salafi-jihadist movement is far from defeated," the new report from the Washington, DC-based think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). There are approximately 230,000 Salafi jihadist fighters across almost 70 countries, according to the report, which drew from a number of databases going all the way back to 1980. There has been a slight decline in the estimated number of total fighters since 2016, but the report said the current estimate is still among the highest in the past 40 years…." Main page link

Lazy journalism, got to love it, there might be 230,000 extremists, but there might also be 100,000. And the estimate also appears to include, not just Salafists, but 'allied-fighters' (who are probably a very mixed bag). |

1 Main production is babies 2 Civilization capitulting its ideals, dhimmitude. Excusing themselve for everything. 3 Fighting with one hand tied in the back as if fighting people from the same understanding. 4 No attack at all ( except in Russia) to stem the money, sources of books, propaganda, religious supplies, from their main bases. Too many interests, not enough courage. 5 Not much thrilling to propose to those youngsters who replaced communist faith with religion. That is they would be caught in. |
