Can anyone suggest suitable bits and pieces for a Sioux or Apache village? Am I going to have to scratchbuild hide drying frames, travois etc? Any other suggestions on what I need to add to my various tipis and wiki-ups? |

The Pegasus 1/48 scale Mission Indian set has some useful bits like a drying frame and wheat bundle, along with some Indians going about daily tasks. |

mine has a scratch built scalp pole: different colors of thread thickened with white glue on a scrap wood crossbeam. Easy to make and looks realistic/creepy enough. |

The IMEX "Alamo" accessories in 1/72nd scale has many interesting bits you might find useful for an Apache village. I find 1/72 accessories work well-enough with 28mm.

Not the same scale, but for "non-people" figure, the IMEX Lewis and Clark set (1/72 scale=22mm or so) has some things that might work. Couple of canoes, tanning frame, camp fire(s), tepees, etc. if memory serves me correctly. |
