The popular Ancients and Medieval Rules, L'Art De La Guerre, (ADLG) will be played at Siege Of Augusta 2019. The Siege is held each year at the Doubletree by Hilton, Augusta Georgia. website for Siege: Siege-of-Augusta.org The ADLG events are as follows: Friday, January 18th at 7:00 PM: Battle of Arsuf. In keeping with the Crusader Theme of the Convention, the refight of Battle of Arsuf September 7,1191 AD will take place. After the conquest of Acre in July 1191 AD, King Philip of France and Duke Leopold of Austria return to Europe leaving King Richard I commander of the coalition army in Palestine. His goal is to liberate Jerusalem. Richard's plan is to secure the coastal strongholds and take Jaffa as his base of operations. While the Crusaders are marching on the ancient coastal highway towards Arsuf, they are attacked by Saladin's army. Can Richard survive the ambush with his baggage and army intact? Beginners welcome. Saturday, January 19th : 28mm Ancients Tournament This is a 200 AP event, 3 rounds. The eligible army lists are Classical Period, Roman Period, Dark Age Period, and list 172 from the Feudal Period. The time period is from 600 BC to 1000 AD. Troop options after 1000 AD cannot be used. Round 1 : 9 – 11:30am Round 2 : 12:30 – 3:00 pm Round 3 : 3:30 – 6:00 pm Space is limited so pre-registration is advised by contacting the GM Kurt Holmes at foodiechef1@gmail.com
