Is there a DBA-RRR army list for the forces of Cesare Borgia? I'm not currently aware of one, and the book I have on the Italian Wars don't say much about the composition of his forces. |

I've read a few books on Borgia. I'm not sure how accurate the references are but I recall from the various books the following: Romagna pike (adorned in red and white), a personal bodyguard of halberdiers (clad in black velvet), mounted arqubusiers and gendarmes and a reference to them in red and yellow livery worth a "C" stitched on their tunics. |

I'm not sure how accurate it is but it certainly paints a vivid picture. If you want the titles and pages of the books, let me know and I can try to source out my recollections. |

I think the Romagnol infantry wore red and white in the service of Venice rather than Cesare. There is mention of red and yellow/crimson and gold livery. "He was also the inventor of the military uniform, putting his soldiers into a livery of his own, and causing his men-at-arms to wear over their armour a smock, quartered red and yellow with the name CESARE lettered on the breast and back, whilst the gentlemen of his guard wore surcoats of his colours in gold brocade and crimson velvet." |

Swampster thank you for clarifying, that's the reference I recalled. It was his whole name and not a "C". My memory isn't always the best but I thought I i also recalled reading somewhere else about a small unit of halberdier guard in black. |

Yes, the same book mentions the halberdiers. It is by Sabatini and is online in various places. It isn't an original source but he seems to be using them – no footnotes that I can see though. I hoped to find something in Guicciardini or Bembo, but nothing so far. |
