When you buy a boxed set that comes with two starter armies, what do you typically do? * build both armies * split the set with a friend etc. |

Build both armies, if the set doesn't have two armies that I want, I don't buy it. |

According to past evidence, I have quite often ended up selling one of the sides. That said, it has been a long time since I last even bought such a set. |

Build both. Why wouldn't you? |

Build both in the past but it is a long time since I bought such a set so I am not sure what I would do in future. x42 |

I haven't done that before. But I generally get both sides… |

Build both Usually I either modify one or paint it and give it away – like the Death Guard I painted up for fun and passed on to Santa Mo |

Since I almost never want both armies, I prefer to: Split with a friend. Buy only the half I want second hand. Sell the half I don't want. In that order. |

Usually only buy a box with a friend to split. Haven't seen a box where I want both sides. Yet.😌 |
Syrinx0 | 23 Nov 2018 4:16 p.m. PST |
Usually split it or resell one side. |
GamesPoet | 23 Nov 2018 6:35 p.m. PST |
Build one side, hold the other for future build. Rarely trade or sell. |

I build and expand upon both armies. |

Have kept both or split with someone else. Just for a different answer: I did hear, when GW had lotr return of the king on the go with the rule book both in the box and seperate, some chaps were buying the box then returning the book to GW for a refund. Thus getting the figures very cheap as the book and box were rather close in price. |

I didn't know you could get two army boxed sets |

One of the stores that I worked at used to have a "trading list" to help facilitate customers being able to swap the "other" army. This system broke down with WH40k 3rd ed, where almost nobody wanted the Dark Eldar at a 1:1 trade for the Space Marines. |

I didn't know you could get two army boxed sets Bolt Action for one offers starter sets with matched opposing pairs. |

"I didn't know you could get two army boxed sets" I am shocked by that response. New gamer I assume? Or a joke I missed? No offence meant to the poster. If you meant two "full" armies, then yes. GW boxed sets now have troops, general, war machines/monsters/vehicles included. Almost all Games Workshop box games and Mantic and many others I have/have seen are two player starters. Many Mantic regiment boxes have rules also though, privateer press (?) and others. There may be one player boxed games, but I have not noticed many. A boxed set suggested up top would have the dice and such included, not just rules, I am assuming. |

Considering I own almost every Warhammer Fantasy army, my track record says I would build both. But, in the event I didn't need one of the armies, I would split or sell it off. |

I rarely keep both I try to split with a friend, just buy 1 half (off eBay etc.) or buy the full thing and sell on half |
