I too was very impressed with the costumes, sets and props.
Don't not recall it being that cool when I was a kid.

OK now tell the truth, NO Fibbing, who has seen the T & A soft-core porn version, "Flesh Gordon"?

Ranks right up there with those cinema classics like "Plan Nine From Outer Space", and pretty much any version of Godzilla made in the 60s in Japan, with English subtitles, starring Raymond Burr (involuntary shudder).

Yeah I've seen Flesh Gordon, with the Penisauruses and the sequel iirc with the arseteroids. Funny stuff :)
