I am looking for a 15mm AWI Hessian regimental band set of figures…or something that can be converted to the same. I can source drummers obviously but that is about it so far. Anyone any ideas? Also does anyone know just what constituted a typical band of the period?

Obviously i am prepared to look at any range of figures for conversions if necessary.

Minifgs have some fife players in their British command pack in the SYW range, but I do not recall if line and/or grenadier. Drums are easily available. Essex has ACW bands for Union and Confederates, IIRC, but when I looked into conversions they seem to be hard work considering the radical difference in uniform styles. Peter Pig offers tricorn hats in their Heads spare set. Will monitor this thread hoping I have missed something…

Yeah, tend to agree about the ACW band being a difficult conversion. I have so far got only a Lancashire games fifer in their American militia command pack and Hessian drummers obviously. I think a bass drum is a easy conversion but am not sure these were carried, the oboe type instrument should be okay to do as well. Maybe that will be enough.
