Anyone have a photo of these? My Google-fu is lacking… I believe they are listed under "HMS Vectis", and I'm wondering if they might suffice for later WWI or RCW in the Baltic. |

No, but they are the ones used on the convoy routes in the Atlantic. I think there are several variants possibly, too, e.g. the AA one, and the long-range escort (I know there were in real life, but can't recall if there are in miniature form). |

Exactly. That's why I'm after photos. GHQ offers both the basic destroyers, and the AA/LRE conversions, so I'm curious exactly what the CINC ships are meant to represent. I'm banking on the relatively "clean" nature of their ships to allow these to work. |

I think you are right, that they are a holdover from WWI, so should work. |

The CinC Vectis is a V&W class model. It's not my favorite but it is armed as a WW1 ship I believe. The GHQ model has a 3 inch AA good for WW2 but not WW1 or the RCW |

GHQ do an "M" class (GWB9) of which 80+ were built between 1913 and 1916. These would suit your purposes better. Also, if you're not wedded to 1/2,400, Navwar do pretty much every destroyer that ever served in the Royal Navy at 1/3,000. They also do all the Russians and/or Germans you'd need. |

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm pretty set on E through R-class destroyers in 1/2400. Via CinC and WTJ, I have 90% of the RN destroyers for WWI (when I get my most recent order, I'll have about 102 M-class). Just missing S, and the V/W classes, and their leaders at this point. Navwar is out both on account of my large commitment to 1/2400, and for lack of detail. |

Fair enough. Good luck with the project. |

I found a picture in the GHQ catalouge when I was looking for some other stuff: link The model has 2 x 3 21" Torpedo Tubes and a 3" AA gun aft of the 2nd funnel which was installed when they were built according to Janes FS so you should be able to use the GHQ models for 1918-19 in the Baltic. Good luck with your project. |
