In this technological world where students work and studied with their own tablets and where classes are given on how and where to surf the Internet … what if these new generations are offered the chance to visit a page of hobbies like TMP? … maybe with a visit and explanation to the authorities of certain schools … at no cost to them … in certain computer classes the students could be induced to visit TMP and get excited about our hobbie .. In this way it would be encouraging the growth of miniatures and incorporating new enthusiasts that are so needed…. Just Only one idea …

I have no interest in promoting anything. I'm just a grumpy old fart who has no wish to "grow" my club. I owe nothing to "the hobby". I owe nothing to TMP. "The Hobby" and TMP can get along fine without my support. I wish both well, and get off my lawn. |

While I think the aim is a good one, I suspect in a lot of schools, those in charge would think we are warmongers, so it wouldn't go so well. |

They could be offered a chance to visit, but they probably won't. I've found that people are pretty single minded. Many like to do the same types of things over and over. Many of those that wish to have "new experiences" will only do so if dragged into it by their circle of friends. And a few are genuinely open to trying something new without urging from their peers. The hard part is going to convince the powers that be that this is a good idea, because once a class opens that door, someone is going to try to monetize it (oh, oh, call that college and see if they put our company's website on their list!). |

I was thinking in primary school…. In their class to how to managed in Internet… a proposal to navigate our hobbie… maybe some of them show interest to see the miniatures…. Amicalement Armand |

TMP is not where you start. After you appreciate military history, gaming generally and miniatures, this is where you wind up. It's not an introduction to the hobby and most of our threads would make no sense to a beginner. |
