Takes much longer to build but overall, a very pleasant model. I'll just say that this is the later version, with hard plastic track links and not the horrible soft plastic tracks of the earlier kits.

Great looking kit! Camo turned out really well. The numbering on the sides has a sprayed on look to it, very realistic. Thanks for sharing your project!

There's really no need to be snarky here. As an adult, and a fellow painter, you really should be ashamed of yourself. TMP is a place for people to share their work that they're proud of. It's always a bummer when someone has to ruin that by being just plain nasty. When it happens people are encouraged not to contribute which means no TMP. Golden rule, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it. Stay humble friend.

Nasty? Because you choose not to say, "Ya know what, Shirley? That is a bit of a pain to file, and my xacto was in my other box. But I may or may not get to it later, depending how I feel or if I think of it…"

Adults answer questions like that. See?

Humble.

And for the record, friend-o, it was a legit question. It is a quite severe mold line, and tho I would have chopped it out, I certainly understand not everyone would even care.

And if you would have looked, I said I liked the camo pattern.Had I been out to troll you, I would not have mentioned it.

Really?

Lovely job on the camo. I've got that kit somewhere, really ought to drag it out and give it a bash myself.

No offence, Shireley. Reason is, I'm no longer one of the younger blokes here, my eyesight is not as good as it was, and I missed it when it was unpainted.

Shirley, apologies, it's not my model so I could not respond to the question of being bothered to file off the mold line. I did notice you said you liked the camo on foxbats model but it doesn't necessarily offset a negative comment. I think most people agree that when someone says "couldn't be bothered" to do something, it implies they were being lazy. Macmillan dictionary has the definition as such.

Upon reading your initial comment I felt that it was unnecessary to call someone out on a mold line when they are sharing work they are proud of. It didn't seem like a legit question, more of a shot at their work. If it was, maybe it could have been phrased a bit differently initially.

Apologies to Foxbat for the direction the post has taken and also for having to take the brunt of Shirley's anger. Because she didn't read who had posted the message about her comment, she assumed it was you. I think your work is great and hope you continue to share.

foxbat, thanks for sharing. I'm plowing through a number of WW2 kits this month, and this was inspiring.

And you're far kinder in your responses than I would have been. Kudos.

Great camo. What scale/manufacturer? Not familiar with ESCI.

Not surprised Mark as ESCI is out of business. They do 1/72nd (among other scales) and popular with braille scale modelers as well as wargamers.

Much better work than I do.

Some of Esci's kits are being put out by Italeri now. I don't know if this particular kit is being done by them. I did pick up the old Esci Tiger II & M4A1 Sherman in Italeri boxes though…

Damon.
