I recently picked up a small army of 6mm Quar Royalists, and I love the vehicle designs. However, they are surprisingly small (at least in comparison to vehicles of my intended opposing force, GZG NSL). So I'd like to add something heavy or even super heavy to the Quar motor pool.

Do you happen to know of any larger 6mm (or maybe even 10mm) vehicles that you think fit the Quar aesthetic? I'm not above converting real world stuff, but I'm not really familiar with what's out there.

They also do 15mm, and some of the smaller vehicles from that scale might work if you are looking for something really big.

Possibly WWI AFVs in 6-10mm could work as well …

To help out a bit, here are some official Quar items:

I would think many inter-war and early WWII tanks and tankettes would give a good feel of Quar.

Here are a few options:

These are Proxie Models tanks intended for 15mm, so huge in 6mm:

And you might want to look for "Epic Scale" Warhammer tanks:
These are about 6mm by intent, but the Warhammer world has many huge tanks:

This site seems to be a guide to these type of minis:

Thanks for the ideas everyone.

DyeHard,
Based on that second image, my royalist tanks are a bit smaller than the crusader ones. I only bought the royalist ones, maybe I should pick up some crusaders next order.
Also, good point about Epic, and Epic inspired minis, unfortunately most of them are just too iconically 40k to my eyes. However, after looking around a little, Vanguard's Wellington (and its family) might work as a heavy transport, what do you guys think? link

Legion 4,
When I get home I'll measure the Quar tanks to get a better idea of if the larger 6mm WWI tanks will suffice. Based on my calculations from their real world lengths I suspect that 10mm will be a good size, but if the correct scale ones work that would be best.

GypsyComet,
You're right, a 15mm Chyweethl might just make a good base for a super-heavy. Worst case it's a good enough excuse to buy some 15mm Quar, which is never a bad thing.

I've also had the possibly crazy idea of scratchbuilding some Tumbeweed-ish tankettes using acorn bead caps, we'll see how that goes.

I just ordered a small unit's worth of 6mm Quar Infantry. I did like some of their vehicles from Zombiesmith. I.e. Ailthean, Baeliog, Chyweethl. But for now I may just go with Rhinos, Ragnaroks, and maybe some Mk.1 or II Leman Russes ?

Vanguard does have some nice pieces too …

If anyone finds it useful, the dimensions of the Royalist tanks are:
6mm Chyweethl Light Tractor = 20mm x 11mm x 9.5mm
6mm Paerydyn Armored Tractor = 22mm x 12mm x 9mm

By comparison, here are my expected miniature dimensions for two of the largest tanks in WWI. I'm assuming 1:182 and 1:300 for 10mm and 6mm respectively (and that I did the math correctly):
10mm MK IV tank aprox. 43.43mm x 22mm
6mm MK IV tank aprox. 25mm x 13mm
10mm A7V tank aprox. 40.1mm x 16mm
6mm A7V tank aprox. 24.6 x 10mm

So clearly these Quar tanks scale very well next to actual 6mm WWI tanks. However since my goal here is to have more variety in size, the 10mm versions may be better.

Interestingly, both 10mm WWI tanks have similar dimensions to the stated dimensions of Vanguard's Wellington:
6mm Vanguard Wellington = 42mm x 27mm

I think I'll start with at a squadron of Wellingtons (Weelyngtyyns?) since they're about the size and role I want, and are intended for this scale (which sidesteps the minor shame of scale sins for now). When I eventually expand the army, I'll likely add a mixture of 6mm and 10mm WWI tanks, and/or the remaining 6mm Quar ones.
