I read this a long time ago. Was their any mention of infantry or cavalry? All I recall was HMS Thunderchild and some references to artillery. Thought about gaming this but Infantry and cavalry against Tripods seems impractical. |

Yes to both at Horsell Commons. Infantry was present at the river, IIRC, but not used to any capacity. |

Then try out "All Quiet on the Martian Front". This game moves the tech of the War of the Worlds up to WWI levels where humans have a chance in a stand up battle. Great stuff. Here's a great battle report for the game. TMP link |
