I have bought a few things from Shapeways mostly unusual pieces (5 inch siege rifle and 7 inch siege howitzer) for SAW. |

Tanks and modern ships. Be sure to order FUD as the white stuff is lumpy. The ships are less detailed than the best lead models but have very even lines. I had to add gun barrels as they are too small to copy, though most WW2 ships have them. The layers used to print can be apparent so you may wish to sand just a bit (though I didn't). I managed to get my two unicorns for tanks in 1/72, the Italian P26/40 and the Russian T-18. Here's a couple pics of the P26: TMP link |
