Your ships are always impressive. Coastal actions seem to me to be the only realistic style of game using such large models. Even so, I see the ships more as collectors items than gaming models.

Here is one for a 1/2400 ship. The scale is different but the principles are the same, though for larger ships I actually use a paper printout for the deck.

How do you get such thin hull sides on the trawler?

Plasticard, or cardstock, glued to the wooden hulls, after sanding down the upper hull, for a flush fit?
