Games Workshop recently announced Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress – a 40K version of Warhammer Quest. The game will come with eight different explorers for players to choose from, including a robot, a Kroot warrior, a Ratling, and an Eldar warrior, (the others appear to be additional members of the Imperium).

I remember the tv show the mole doing something like this. You say Eight, but there are nine. |

Yeah no interest in the game but some of the models would look very nice in my 40k armies. No doubt eBay will be full of re-sellers after release. |

I want the ratlings and the chaos guardmen. |

Left to right…… Kroot, Eldar (Ranger?), Robot, Ratling (with grappling hook?), Priest (I'm sure he has a title but I cannot remember it), Redemptionist (actually a missionary zealot apparently), Ratling, Sanctioned Pysker of some kind (Imperial Navigator?) and I'm guessing a Rogue Trader on the end |

Look like you also get a mixture of chaos types, some servitors (sorry negavolt cultists?) and alien drones etc.
I'm guessing the pricing will destroy any interest I have, but it looks interesting. |

It's a "renegade" Imperial Inquisitor and his unsanctioned retinue of hangers-on. |

"How much this going for?" $150 USD |

Ten traitor imperial guard are among the enemies. It's for 1-5 players and HE promises future, long-term support. |

An expected answer to Star Saga? Also. Is this the first robot in 40k? I know Space Crusade had then. Guessing this game follows that line. Usually 40k has either cyborgs or controlled machines (though I'm sure there is a list of robots I am forgetting). Perhaps the rating with gubinz controls it? Probably not. |

I haven't played 40K since original Rogue Trader, but I'm certain there were robot rules in there. |

I'm pretty sure Necrons are robots.. Also the Adeptus Mechanicus have had robots since the original 40k which made a re- appearance with the Kastellans when Adept Mec become an army of their own. |

What are those tripod-looking things on the left side of the picture? |

Perhaps most intriguing among the residents of the Blackstone Fortress are the Spindle Drones – previously unseen xenos constructs that seem to be native to the fortress.

Trying to remember my fluff but weren't the Blackstone fortresses built by the old ones to counter the Necrons? Would that make the spindle drones ancient old ones tech? |
