Triple the ranges (3" = 100m)?

Close combat at 3 inches.

3-9 inch artillery templates.

3-18 inch ranges for infantry.

I don't know but seems right.

3 – 4x seems about right, for that scale, compared to microarmor.

4X gets you 25m/inch, or 1m per millimeter, which is convenient.

How big a table to do you have access to?

18 inch range on a 4x6 leaves no room for maneuver.

I would double it to 1" = 50 yards. Given a stand is a platoon that will give you big enough bases with plenty of room for movement.
