No, they are not installed on the base. At the base of their customer puts. And these bases are a work of art!

I do old school bases so anything is a work of art.

I never knew the Russians used a caisson so similar to the French version. I do like to see artillery modelled with limbers, caissons etc. The Artillery Park does add to realism, if an inconvenience and obstacle for wargamers (and real generals?)

I scratch built a 1798? Model of a Russian caisson, it has wicker looking box.
