I can't think of the movie, but the are two things I do remember about it:

- Terrain – lots of brick ruins above ground and concrete tunnels and floors below ground; and
- It had some kid with multiple, spider-like eyes* on his face

QUESTIONS:

A) Any idea which recent movie that might have been?

B) And has anyone put together a modern clandestine laboratory terrain complex to play on? If so, got pics?

C) Aside from an operating room, of course, what OTHER rooms would one need when building such a creepy terrain setup?

Thanks

Dan
PS. The movie was NOT Netflix' Spectral, though I did like the mix of concrete and brick sections in that film.
* The eyes didn't look human like these googly ones. They looked solid black, like those of a spider, but you could still see some sort of movement on them though.

The monsters could teleport and there was an abandoned monastery or church above the entrance? I recall the movie (the spider eye kid was creepy)but the name escapes me. I'll go nuts now if I can't think of it .

And no, there were no Nazis in the film, that I recall, zombie or otherwise.

I can't remember if the eyes were grafted on the kid, or if he was an alien hybrid to begin with.

OMG! That's the one! Thanks so much.

Now I can check and see if the terrain-making potential is as good as I imagined.

Thanks again!

I watch way too much Showtime Beyond. Good source for bad sci-fi

I agree. The acting and special effects in some of those movies may be hit or miss, but they have great gaming ideas.

Just for the record, I think Spectral would make a more gameable setup in 15mm.

I think an individual-horror story like The Hybrid would work better in 28mm (or as an RPG).
