I rarely buy Civil War magazines. They are generally written for folks that don't know much about the civil war. [I say generally. There are exceptions.] Anyway, I did by this month's issue of The Civil War Monitor.

The issue has a fascinating article "Building the Perfect Army" written by five Historians.

Basically it is a Fantasy football team-building exercise, but the reasons why various officers are picked is what is intriguing. Some great insights into personalities and interesting historical tidbits.

Just FYI.
