I am definitely going to be building a large Elf army with the primary base being the Demonworld miniatures. Anyone know who makes Elf minis that scale good with Demonworld please? |

Splintered Light & Essex mix well. Are you aware you can still get Demonworld Elves. link |

None that immediately jump to mind. I think Splintered Light are going to be smaller and Black Raven Foundry and/or Alternative Armies are going to be a bit taller. Perhaps Battle Valor but they might be a little taller as well. David splinteredlightminis.com |

You might want to look at the Battle Valor, They are a mm or 2 taller, at least the ones I just compared, but there are some different poses, like kneeling archers ect. You also might look at Magister Militum, theyre a little shorter though. THe Eureka elfs of lofty spire are good ( dont get the Wood elves as theyre to big). I havent any of the Splintered light elves, SL has some good looking stuff that I have, but the SL elves dont appeal to me, but love some of his other stuff that I have. I have a few of the Alternative army and black raven, but off all the elves I have, I like the Demonworld, and Battle Valor best. I intend to use all the Demonworld elves as Wood elves, including the high elves, and use the elves from BV, AA, BRF and some of the BV as high elves. ie wood elves with blonde to red hair, dressed in greens to browns, and likely the high elves with darker hair, and I havent decided the color scheme for them yet, deciding colors take a lot of time and agony, the worst part of painting arg….which im just starting to do. I think if you make separate units or High vs Wood elves, you could be happy with any of them. |

Alt Armies 15mm work well for the cav, which are quite large, and the infantry are also on the tall side. Aesthetically, the two handed swords, spearmen, and cav all work well if you use a similar scheme. The crossbowmen may also fit, if you like crossbow elves. Magister Militum has some elves that work very well, with plumed spearmen and bowmen. Mirliton Fantasy (old Grenadier) also has some plumed spearmen and armored cav that work pretty well but the infantry are a bit smaller than the Alt Armies and DW lines. I used a mix of these emulating the GW blue and white high elf scheme and they work well with the DW figs as characters. The Alt armies elves (particularly the spearmen and crossbows) also work well as Dark elves with a dark paint scheme (I used purple, black, and gold).
I really like the Mirliton Wood Elf figs for wood and dark/deep elves. The lighter gear makes them look great as skirmishers/raider types. |
