What are my options for basing very large figures like Elephants, dragons, and dinosaurs? I prefer as thin as possible, like Wargames Accessory metal bases, but I need ones in sizes larger than they sell, like 4" x 2" or 5" x 3"

They also need to be sturdy as some of these figures are very heavy.

I can custom laser-cut the sizes you want. Just send an email via the website with dimensions and quantities and I will give you a quote.

If you want to DIY, there are thin plywoods available. Otherwise, you can cut them out of MDF, available at your local DIY stores. I use MDF frequently as a base material for castle towers, wall sections, gates, etc. I cut the MDF to the size needed, then after mounting the piece, I texture the base. A table saw is your best bet for straight cuts. Cheers!

We can go as thin as 0.8mm in plywood, but I would recommend 1.5mm to help avoid twisting.
