Thresher,
I've read quite a few of your posts with growing amusement.
Let me ask you something?
What exactly do you mean that Iran has "been creating problems" since 1979?
OH really? You say that with a straight face. Really.
Let's see. Iran in 1953 democratically elected a leader who wanted to steer Iran into a democratic future. That didn't suit our needs at the time, so the CIA overthrew that democratic leader and installed the Sha. Which all but CREATED the mess, instability and turmoil leading up to 1979 (which of course was our whole intention in the first place to destabilize Iran, so we could justify doing other things to it later on.) So in that instance the US UNDERMINED an attempt at democracy, the very thing we claim to want the whole world to have.
So wait…WHO exactly is "creating problems" here? Seems to me the U.S is the only nation creating problems in this scenario my friend. And quite purposely for underhanded goals to be sure.
Oh yes we "support democracy around the world", but not when it doesn't suit our needs we don't. When it suits our economic needs we support dictators all over the place. But those dictators who don't play along – well they suddenly become "worse than Hitler". Amazing how a "trusted ally" can suddenly turn into a new Hitler overnight simply because we say so?
So let's see, how about this narrative Thresher?
Syria is in the middle of a Civil War. OH, that's right! A Civil War that ONCE AGAIN, the U.S. f'n INSTIGATED. And so now that we've purposely sent Assad's country into turmoil (because that was our intent all along), NOW we're calling Iran and Russia "rogues" and "supporters of terror" because….ready?….drum roll….because they're trying to help Syria drive ISIS and Al Qaeda out of Syria!
So you have a f'n sovereign nation (Syria) trying to win a Civil War that WE stirred up in their country. And Syria has two allies trying to help them win that Civil War.
And so what are we doing? Declaring ALL THREE nations to be terrorist nations, the ones who are fighting to get the terrorist groups out of Syria so Syria can have its country and government back to normal. The irony stinks so bad you can smell it all the way across the ocean. And all the while the U.S. is supporting the "good guys", the "rebels" (Al Qaeda) fighting against Assad. Yes ineed. So in this instance Al Qaeda are the "good guys" and Assad is the "bad guy" because we have an ongoing agenda to remove Assad on Saudi Arabia's behalf (for pipe lines and money, big shock there.)
Which begs the basic question? WHAT f'n BUSINESS do WE have there? Besides NONE.
The fact is, the only two countries that as you put it "need to be stopped" in this scenario are the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, the true rogue nations in this whole business.
And the fact is, if Saudi Arabia didn't have an interest in getting pipe lines through Assad's country, the U.S. would not only have ZERO interest in any military intervention is Syria, it would be f'n inviting Assad to the White House as a most trusted friend and ally of the West – just as we invited Saddam Hussein to the White House in the 80s as a most trusted friend and ally (because he was cooperating with us economically and playing by our sheet music.)
We have to be VERY careful in these discussions about this world we currently live in. Leaving out major contextual facts like the U.S. is an Empire that has abandoned fairness and equity in favor of stealing resources at any cost in order to maintain it's way of life, those kinds of facts can't be left out. When you leave them out it changes the entire narrative. And when you do you that you're no longer being truthful.
You and others on these forums needs to get your history and your facts straight in between all the flag waving you do for the red, white, and blue.
