I posted this not too long ago on the Renaisance Board under Classic Asian Warfare. Perhaps that was too esoteric a place so I thought perhaps here on the 19th Century Discussion I might perhaps get a response even if it is there are not any figures. So here goes. Does anyone make Samurai Champloo figures of the three main characters, Mugen, Jin and Fu? I think this particular Anime is one of the most sublime Samurai sagas created and some friends and I want to set up some skirmish style games set in the Pax Tokugawa with Samurai Champloo as part of the theme. |

For those that haven't seen the anime:
To answer the OP: None that I've seen, you'd probably have to convert a lot. Check the (OOP, sadly) WarCrow range, as well as some of the Infinity mercenaries by Corvus Belli. There were also some nice fantasy-Japan models in the Anima Tactics range. You might be able to use a Perry civilian for Fu. Jin would need his sunglasses sculpted (and possibly hair), but a Perry Samurai in plain clothes would work. Mugen would be the hardest. There might be something usable in the ashigaru minis. |
