So rarely we see them in the Pelisse. The Dolman yes of course, the pelisse slung maybe for parade. These are great and that bit different. Trumpeters are great, especially. |

Thank you very much! I had a little doubt about the trumpeters. But I really wanted to paint them in blue. Contrary to the figure. But with the dolmani there was no choice. Figures are made that way. |

That's intended to be the Austerlitz winter uniform, where they wore the pelisse. They are now also available in dolman and overalls, the much commoner rig which became standard wear for later in the period . |

I have never had doubts about the accuracy of your figures. Taking this opportunity, I want to thank you so much for your wonderful figures! They are very beautiful. |

But that is what is so good about these figures. This is not how they are usually modelled. Most of us have images of them from 1805/6 up to 1812, in the pelisse with the rolled cloak… Few of us have miniatures as such. Plus yours have the rolled cloak over the right (I mean correct not right or left) shoulder….(slight wind up here, Saxons were maybe different of course…..obviously) |

Yes indeed those are the 1805 winter uniforms, how refreshing to see those compared to the boring later stuff. It would be nice to the the chasseur (tunic) dress of the Guard chasseurs as in 1806 as well. |

Alex, thank you for posting so many of my figures here. The Garde Chasseurs of course had several uniforms, and it would take a lot of work to do them all! But the books tell me that the dolman/overalls combination was normal for all the later campaigns. What I must get around too is the later uniforms for the LINE Chasseurs…. |
