Now here's something to pull me away from giant titans!! I saw the rules at recruits several weeks ago and look interesting. |

I am so looking forward to this. |

Yes, why doesn't Warlord have any mention of it on their site? And why 1/300? Not much room on the average table for proper maneuvering and all. 1/600 or 1/700 would seem better fitted to coastal actions. |

They will be demoing this at Millennium Con XXII in Round Rock, TX in about 3 weeks and might have starters for sale. |

Other people make these in 1/600th – 1/700th already, so they chose another scale. Happy to see that, for close-in actions. Still wanting a BPB 71.5' (also billed as a 72') Whaleback MGB, and MTB. Home they listen and make one. They also made a short-cockpit version of this MTB late in the war too. 2 Pdr. and 6 Pdrs. on the foredeck, for lots of late-war punch. A beautiful design. |

Agree with mjkerner, 1/600 is a better scale in my experience. I have coastal forces in both scales and find 1/600 allows much greater room for maneuver and more interesting scenarios. |

I had a large fleet in 1/600 and well lets be honest they are small. I like the new size, which will keep me from have too many ships on the table. Iam glad i changed my convention plans and decided to go to Millennium con in November instead of fallin. Ill put together a report after the show. |

The bundle display dal have a lot of nice product in it. US, UK, Ger and IJN ship groups, Starter sets, individual rule books and other items. |
Wackmole9 | 14 Oct 2018 4:57 p.m. PST |
I will offer to buy any ships from any member who just wants the rules. |

" And why 1/300? " So you can use your 1/285 tanks with the game? ;-) |

Glad you like them my friend!. Amicalement Armand |

Since I designed Coastal Command Small boat rules and campaign back in 1985, I am very curious to see how this system plays. |

Really interested in this game. What osprey book/s would you recommend to learn more about the ships? |
Rudysnelson | 25 Oct 2018 12:38 p.m. PST |
One good one would be from the DUEL series, E-boats vs MGB. There are several New Vanguard which would be helpful as well. |

For those looking for more info on these actions, you might consider checking out our articles on PT boat actions in Time Portal Passages. They really need some R-boats, F-lighters and armed tug boats. |
Thresher01 | 30 Oct 2018 11:00 p.m. PST |
And, a few, well-armed, VP Boats of reasonable size, for the MGBs and MTBs to try to beat up on, and sink, or vice versa. Four is a nice round number for them in a pack, to serve as a decent small convoy escort, or to just patrol on their own for small, British coastal craft. |
Lion in the Stars | 02 Nov 2018 6:05 p.m. PST |
@Rudy: The Italian fleet pack includes a F-lighter, and I think the German fleet pack includes an armed tug (or whatever the heck a "Vorpostenboot flakship" is) If the local group gets into it, I have dibs on the USN. It's pretty cool that you get both Elco and Higgs PT boats in the set. |
Joe Legan | 03 Nov 2018 6:50 a.m. PST |
Lion, "outpost boat". = armed trawler. Should be bigger than an armed tug. I will admit; looks like they are going to come out with a lot of models. I wonder if the rules will be any good? I would not want to play "crowded seas" but a couple of ships per side would be doable at this scale. Joe |
Thresher01 | 04 Nov 2018 9:09 p.m. PST |
Anyone know if they'll be producing MGBs for the British? Primarily interested in the mid-late war models, on short hulls. Gonna need some small merchants, or trawlers to attack too, for both sides in the English Channel. Would love to see a 4-pack of different, decently sized, VP Boats for the Germans to patrol their occupied coastline with. They're a good challenge for the little MGBs and MTBs to try to engage, since some mount an 88mm, or 105mm cannon, plus assorted light to medium flak weapons also. |

Thresher, Would love to see that as well. I took the plunge! Ordered rules, British and German fleets from OMM today for Christmas. Optimistic this will be fun. If not will still have some nice ships. Joe |
