Ford's Theatre has a wonderful basement museum which shows most of the artefacts, including the pistol. The theatre itself is well preserved and one can get very close to the Presidential Box itself. Free entry struck me as a very pleasant change. A block or two from the Smithsonian, an easy walk for any tourist. |
