While that works economically for Russia (multiple sales), I doubt the Syrians will be too happy about them knocking out the air defense network they just sold to them. ;-)

S-300 might be a quality system when manned by Russian operators but Middle East troops are not even in the same zip code as Russian troops. Israel will be able to take them out.
