Hi all, I'm interested in players' opinions of families of rules that allow you to play multi-scale battles, i.e.squad/skirmish, platoon/company, battalion, such as GW's Kill Team, 40k and Epic. Which sets would be suitable to follow a squad through a campaign, allowing progression of team members, with option to play solo when necessary? Which do you prefer and why? Many thanks, Noggin |

Two Hour Wargames. I like sci-fi, so for me its the 5150 family: Fringe Space – rpg rules Star Army 2nd tour – squad leader to company commander Hammer and Anvil – adding tanks and mechs They have the fantasy sets as well. Reasons: Designed for solo play, excellent support via their forum, realistic results (obviously in my opinion, your mileage may vary), I can play with whatever minis I choose and fun is encouraged. |

I'd highly recommend the 5core at of rules from Nordic Weasel. They have three rulesets, covering skirmish, company and brigade levels. They're quite solo friendly, but are great fun as a two player. |

I second 5core from Nordic Weasel. |
