Denoting an un-buttoned vehicle at 1/144 scale in an unobtrusive and reliable way has eluded me so far. However at the suggestion of Wolfhag today 2mm diameter magnets arrived. A quick test shows that that the ball remains fixed in place upside down when given a modest shake. The ball will be coloured black (using a spirit based pen a suggestion from a fried as better than paint which will chip). Tomorrow I may have time to install a magnet in one of the LUCHS. Great suggestion Wolfhag thanks. |

You're supposed to call them magnets of color these days, Thresher. But if I'm following UshCha correctly, his plan is to install a magnet in the AFV, then attach a ball to it to denote that the AFV is not "buttoned up." It was good of his fried to suggest this. |
