Wonderful stuff in the 'Grand manner'. Superb wargaming terrain with Beautifuly painted units.

The gap between the wood and the Brussels road appears huge compared to my research and Stoney's paintings. This cramped the action in reality.

Nevertheless, a super visual feast.

Thank you Mr Dobson for your observation. You are probably right. That gap was a lot less in the first weekend's play and we found it too (unrealistically) easy for the Allied reinforcements to defend and bottled up the French. For the second weekend's gaming we changed the scale a bit and put the battlefield through 90 degrees. This stretched the Allied defence and produced a much more exciting game.
