6 Grenadiers and 6 voltigeurs will give you a full battalion of 36, at 1:20 ratio. GdeP |

Still kills me how you can get the lettering in those flags picked out in gold paint. Very impressive all the way around! David |

The brass buttons against the black background. Again the flag, imagine trying to do that lettering. Plus it is the right (smaller) size. The drummer's lace……..
Only complaint; the pom pom thing on the shako. Every one is light blue. I know nothing (seriously nothing at all) about such, but imagined each French companies had different colours. Let me stress I do not have one single French foot soldier in my collection….OK Genie and Marins de la Garde…..mais that is it |

Whatever they are they are superb in their own right. |

So nice. They exude old skool cool charm. |

Beautiful work. I can never tell the difference between Hinton Hunt and Der Kriegspielers. Maybe these are all the second companies of Fusiliers from 4 different battalions, with the sky blue pompom. |

Thank you for your comments, Chaps. The all-blue pom poms were to make them a bit more vintagey, Deadhead. It's how they used to do them back in the day when accurate uniform references were hard to track down. DKs are rather slighter and slimmer, Bobgnar, and had a variety of different poses. I've just put a picture up on my blog to give an indication of this. |
