I always liked Spock's Brain. I know, I know… The Enterprise Incident was good. The Paradise Syndrome… love/hate on this one, but the actress was lovely! Spectre of the Gun – one of my faves (OK Corral) Plato's Stepchildren – would be just average, but it's got Michael Dunn in it! The Empath – another fave Elaan of Troyius – another fave Turnabout Intruder – some interesting performances, marred by the terribly sexist ending |

I think 'the empath' was the first 'trek episode I ever saw I have a soft spot for 'day of the dove' one of the best tv quotes ever- "only a fool fights in a burning house!" |

My top 3 are probably:- All Our Yesterdays Wink of an Eye The Tholian Web |

There are so many good episodes… I will have to plump for 'For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky' But I could equally have chosen 'All our Yesterdays',' That which survives' or 'Wink of an eye'. |

Tholian Web is probably the best but "The Enterprise Incident" and "Day of the Dove" are notable for showing the Federation's enemies as more than just stock bad guys. The Romulans always had a better rep then that of course and the Klingons had a couple of interesting characters previously as well. |

There were no good season three episodes. I can remember my shock and horror when it happened. But The Enterprise Incident was the least bad. |

"The Tholian Web" and "Elaan of Troyius" with a nod to "Whom Gods Destroy" because Yvonne Craig guest starred as the prettiest green-skinned woman I've ever seen. |

The Tholian Web – One of the few episodes where Kirk is pretty much AWOL for most of the episode. And an interesting Alien species – not another Halloween costume. Elian of Troyius – Kirk up to his usual tricks, but he's got a better excuse this time. And we get to see some Klingon subterfuge on the border before they become Samurai in TNG. The Enterprise Incident – Spock plays James Bond this time. Pity they used the Klingon ships, though. |

Best scenes: (Plato's Stepchildren) ALEXANDER: Don't stop me. Let me finish him off. KIRK: Do you want to be like him? (Alexander puts down the knife by his own choice.) (Requiem for Methuselah) MCCOY: You wouldn't understand that, would you, Spock? You see, I feel sorrier for you than I do for him because you'll never know the things that love can drive a man to. The ecstasies, the miseries, the broken rules, the desperate chances, the glorious failures, the glorious victories. All of these things you'll never know simply because the word 'love' isn't written into your book. Goodnight, Spock. SPOCK: Goodnight, Doctor. MCCOY: I do wish he could forget her. (McCoy leaves. Spock goes over to Kirk and initiates a mind meld) SPOCK: Forget… |

It was tough to narrow it down to five. There were actually a lot of really good episodes that season. |

Which I believe inspired Spock's brief mind meld w/Bones in Wrath of Khan after nerve pinching him("Remember") |
