Best actual headlines for your pulp gaming scenario:

"Angry Mutant Crabs from Canada Attacking Maine Coast."

"Angry Mutant Green Crabs are Destroying Everything in Their Path!"

It's like a classic B-movie, X-men, Cthulhu tale all rolled into one. Add a cyclone, and it's a SyFy mini-series.

laugh

They are moving SOUTH?

Has no one told them about Global Warming???

Dan
PS. That's okay, we are already full of Canadians. What's a few more. :)

I read a story a few years ago about angry Siberian crabs moving down the coast of Norway. They looked to my untutored eye like King Crabs.
The last paragraph said they were delicious.
What's the point in being the apex predator on the whole planet if you don't use it for Good.

How do green crabs taste?

I actually read the cited story this time. For once.
Apparently they were originally Americans who moved to Nova Scotia and are now coming back to reclaim what is theirs.
That sounds suspiciously like Loyalists burning the White House in the War of 1812.

It could also be in retaliation for my GASLIGHT "Orc invasion of Canada" 1885 campaign.

Hmmm… you may be on to something, Winston. Green coats… They're Tarleton Crabs! Bloody Banistre Tarleton has come back from the grave to wreak his vengeance upon the Patriot cause!
Hide the silver! Grab your muskets! Lock up the women! (But not in churches!)

Clearly, we must summon the spirit of Daniel Morgan to defeat him!

Yes, indeed, this has even more scenario possibilities than I had previously considered…

The person quoted is wrong. You can eat them.

Crabcakes!

Yum………

Also, no doubt, excellent, just sauteed in butter, with Old Bay Seasoning.

They look an awful lot like Blue Crabs to me, though with smaller claws.

This situation is rapidly getting out of hand…

Those Canadians might be like these other guys, armed and dangerous!

And they might target noodle shops!

Cacique Caribe20 Sep 2018 4:34 p.m. PST

And once they've fed and bulked up on our noodles …

At least they are edible crabs, not STD/STI crabs!

Thresher0120 Sep 2018 8:05 p.m. PST

I hope a certain UK mayor doesn't see those videos, or crustaceans might be banned next…….

"At least they are edible crabs, not STD/STI crabs!"

Or highly toxic reef crabs…

Oh, and they're not undersize, are they? And you did check which zone they were in before catching them?

(In the movies, you can just bet there will be such a pedantic Boating & Fisheries officer about to enforce such things, even though the comedy value has long since worn out.)

I used the Internet! Amazing thing. It answers all your questions!
Apparently they are tasty but a lot of work.
