7th regiment Liechtenstin hussars cir 1794:
I know Austrian hussars didn't take flags on campaign (though I may stand to be corrected on this) but I like flags! More here: link Dave. |

Very nice! Maybe they took the flag 'cause they were planning for an easy victory and a quick parade thereafter |

great unit – inspiring – great miniatures as well, great attention to detail, like the hussar trumpeter. Yes no cavalry standards in the field, in case a pity that they are depicted in line infantry sizes, while cavalry standards were quite small. |

Thanks again chaps, the flag is an Austrian cavalry flag of the period from GMB who are normally pretty accurate, maybe it's because the tassels/cords are a little too large which makes the flag look big. Dave. |

cavalry standards – compared to infantry colours were quite small – GMB is doing wonderful designs but – according to wargamers wishes – but in my view – massivley overscaled. |

GMB freely admit that. It is to cater for Wargamers, exactly as you said above, who want larger, easily identifiable, symbols on the table. |
