Since about 50% of those with affinity for the force turn bad and even the good half are kinda assholes. It seems the most effective way of keeping the peace in the star wars universe would be to simply kill every kid that shows an affinity for the force.

What was that book, oh yeah, A Modest Proposal.
Question: What do you do about the non-force using #%^$& that still want to lord it over everyone else?

"Question: What do you do about the non-force using #%^$& that still want to lord it over everyone else?"

I'm a humane sort, myself. Beheading, stake through the heart and burial at a crossroads. But we want to be careful to do the politicians before the primaries and the teachers during summer break, so everyone can be replaced in time.

And be grateful that at least the "non-force using #%^$&" can't read minds.

Nah, easier to brainwash the Force-prone into believing a Highlander scenario exists ("There can be only one"), then they'll gleefully hunt down each other & do all the hard work for you (except for all the resulting sanitation & cleanup, but that task can be left for sub-contractors), then finish off the few remaining ones (e.g. lure them to a planet & blow it up…)

That's the next series of Star Wars movies. Star Wars: The Force Suppressions.

In SWTFS, everyone on the galaxy has had enough of the mind-reading, telekinetic, domineering jerks and decides to get rid of them all. Midicloridian testing is made mandatory and everyone reading above a certain level is immediately terminated.

A few telekinetically-driven false positives and some bribes to under-report actual force users and all of a sudden, it's a massive civil war.

They are on equal footing so who cares we don't kill kids that might have ittle Hitlers in them. But we should probably kill little Hitlers if they can destroy whole planets with their minds.

sigh, so my dreams of a utopia are dashed again, this time by simple biology and child rearing practices.

StarfuryXL516 Sep 2018 4:06 p.m. PST

As a followup, they should kill any clumsy Gungan children so they can't grow up to be manipulated by any Force users who survive the pogrom. Or worse, become the supreme evil Force user themself.

Well, it is implied that Jedi aren't allowed to marry (Anakin and Padme's love was apparently against the rules) so perhaps there is a subtle program to breed (or in this case non-breed) force users out of existence. Find them young and commit them to a life of celibacy (or at least non-reproduction).

And it occurs to me that if Kylo Ren gets his just deserts in the next movie, that will be the end of the Skywalker line.
